Rope caught in impeller shaft for 240 M2 1st gen engine

We went to the lake saturday and water tube rope went underneath the intake grate and suck unto shaft and impeller and speed at only 7 mph at 7,000 rpm... it is my 2002 challenger 2000 1st gen engine... do you think my impeller bearing to the engine is broken... ill show you the pictures of the rope. Please give me advice how to check for damage. Ill appreciate your feedback.

i'm sure everything is fine mechanically. When a rope gets onto the shaft, it causes cavitation and you don't go anywhere. BUT... when that happens, don't rev it up. As you found out, it doesn't really go any faster.


If you want to check for damage, just drain the oil from the gear case and stator. If a bearing or seal gave out... you will see water or metal in the oil. If it's relatively clean... just refill with Quicksilver High Performance gear oil .
