Gti rfi had seaweed block a water line melted exhaust and took on lots of water. Took everything apart replaced exhaust and cleaned all connections. Now it accelerates slowly after the initial burst of speed. If you stop and remove the key it runs fine for a while. Took it to dealer there are no error code. Replaced voltage regulator because old one was corroded and look like it had crackes in the back. Cleaned the rave valves and adjusted the caps level with the top. Checked the plugs after a hard run and imediate shut down and they look good. I have run all the tests on the different sensors and all are with in specs. Compression is 155 and 158. I have spent hours searching the forums looking for answers why it will not accelerate like normal. Does anyone have any suggestions? It seems like it is not getting enough fuel on the initial
Acceleration but if you wait it builds pressure and then all is fine, until you return to idle. Tis is driving me crazy!
