Just bought 2 gtx di sea doo 2003models and put in the water friday ----ran great--fast, both had great power--top out about 52mph--- was excited and delighted, then after about an hour one started loosing power. Dash displayed MAINT --red light flashed.....would only run 20-25 then it quit and not restart.....had to tow it back to dock, that was nearly dark so i waited until saturday morning pulled the plugs out---they were black but dry, so i installed 2 new plugs.....it fired off and ran great again... for about 30 minutes this time and the same thing....tow back to the dock.... black plugs ---let set for 3 or 4 hours 2 more plugs ran great again ......this time we stayed close, ran about 15 minutes and started fading out....headed to dock before it quit and shut it off......let it cool for a couple hours and decided to just load it up if it would make it to the ramp....only had 2 more plugs, but i tried it because it had not quit that time ..... it fired off and ran wide open to the ramp......i'm thinking coil or something electrical.....any help would be appreciated. I don't know much about the computer system on these or fuel injection other than they are great when they are right. Thanks!!! Brent

I wouldn't think it's electrical since it's running well until the plugs foul. BUT... the spark plug wires can decay at the boot. You may want to remove the boot, and cut the wires back about 1/4" (or until you see clean wire) and then put them back on.

First thing I would do is figure out why the light was flashing. If it was a real issue... it will have an error code.

The plugs could be fouling because of an improper TPS or temp sender. Also... it can foul if the injectors are leaking a little.

This is the problem with the Di ski's. When they run... they are normally reliable, and make great power... but when you have issues... they are not easy to diagnose.
