Lou, On my GSX skis there are 2 black plastic vent hoses about 1 1/2" in diameter in the front compartment. I think that is what he was referring to when he said vents.
Guyph, I've never flipped a ski over, but I don't think that is how it might get alot of water inside. When skis get flooded, it is usually because of a leak. Some possible causes of water leaks include:
- plugs left out
- bailer lines not tied up and drawing water into the hull (as Lou mentioned)
- leaking carbon ring or bellows
- water line leak inside the hull
