I took a 1999 speedster out for the first time and was / am thinking of buying it. After a few short rides no more than half an hour on it, one of the two motors died out during operation. The few things I checked spark fuel and so on all checked out.
So I took it to a shop and had to go to work, then today and at the end of the day here's what the shop called and told me. The rave valve was screwed and scored the housing and were it mates on the crank case. He also said he found air bubbles in the oil line.
The boat has been stored for two years before I took it. What is involved in fixing it, is it expensive and what caused it?
