I know that there are quite a few users on here that sell used parts, but i am not sure on what to buy when fixing this problem. My mag side rave valve i believe has worn too much, so what I am asking is do i need to buy a brand new assembly or will a good used one be fine. Any users here have a GOOD assembly for sale. 99spxxx? Minnetonka4me?

I buy a lot of parts from Nick and I refer a lot of people to him, and I just bought some rave valve parts from him. But if I needed to replace the actual rave valve I would buy new.

i have never ever bought a new rave, i'm too much of a cheap azz,
the last set I bought, were two for $40 shipped, i posted a WTB Ad, and waited a week while 7 people sent me offers of 80-100 shipped, then finally somebody who just wanted to get rid of them offered me a lowball price. actually at the time I think nick had none of offer but both of my raves were fugged.

with that said, a good used assembly wile fine, the key word being "good". lots of junk out there, and they do sell rebuild kits for like $
25.

Yeah...i really need a whole assembly pretty much. How can you measure to see if you have too much clearance between the rave valve and the housing. Are there specs? Because the one that keeps melting seems like it has more clearance than the one that isnt melting itself out. Also, the one that keeps melting, the oring keeps getting really stiff and going bad. Is this caused by the clearance or and it getting too hot? Because i just replaced the oring before the year started. Need some advice
