I noticed in getting ready to replace the lines, that there are check valves in the fuel line. Is this needed and what purpose does it serve? Is it ok to use the old one?

Any idea on where to get a new one if it does need to be new?

there shouldn't be. At least not anything that you have listed in your avatar. The only thing that looks like a check valve is the ends of the vent hoses, but there shouldn't be anything in-line.

Post a pic. Makes it easier.

Humm.

Ok... I'm wrong. (sort of) No, you don't need to replace it. It's really a valve just to keep water from coming back in. That should be the vent on the fuel tank, and it exits the hull.
