piston replacement

i have just tooken the head off and i can now see the 2 pistons on my speedster 1998 model. i need to know if i can replace the piston without takin the motor out. how do i do so? and once i get it all out, where can i find parts for the thing at? i am located in Raleigh, NC. the piston has chipped and its not getting any compression at all. any help is much appreciated. thanks

piston can be replace w/o engine removal. dont drop the wrist pin needle bearings into crankcase though. parts available just about everywhere, online, ebay, etc... probably have to buy oversized pistons and get cylinders bored if they are scored up..make sure you check crank bearings before your put the new top end in..
