Would an exhaust gas tester /analyzer work on tuning a jet ski ? I'd get one but I don't know how it would do so near the water. My cousin and I are building a test tank for the skis. We both hate the way you have to tune and test these things. Troubleshooting is a great big hassle for us. Perhaps we were not smart but... we' re gonna have a set up that is. LOL

Not really, as it si a 2 stroke but Matt Braley uses a EGT meter to help tune with a probe in each exhaust port.

Test tanks suck to be honest, the water heats up, you don't get the hull on a plane or running correctly as on the water tests and they causes a ton of cavitation. They just don't work other than to test for leaks.

We discussed EGT but how do you get it in the exhaust port at the proper location? Drill ?
