I quite litterally was just given a 97 GTX and GTI by a friend. Both skis were stored but layed up properly for about the last 2 years. To my surprise both started and ran fine today...one issue I noticed was that the previous owner (now deceased) was running quicksilver TCW3 oil in both.

My old '93 GTX is still alive and kicking but has only burned seadoo oil since hour one.

My question:

Do I burn the quicksilver in it ? Then switch to seadoo non synthetic?
Drain the quicksilver then refill with seadoo non synthetic?
Take more drastic measures?

Both skis run great, compression numbers are solid and even though they have not been on the water, have been maintained by a somewhat reputable shop here in n. texas.....

It's the wrong stuff, and won't properly protect the engines.

Quicksilver does make an API-TC oil, but there is a big "PWC" on the label. They make a synth, and a semi-synth.

What oil you use, is up to you... as long as it's an API-TC oil. (TC-w3 is bad for us)

If it was me... I would drain the oil system totally, replace the filters, and bleed the system. Then... fill them with the proper oil.
