BRADENTON POLICE DEPT RADAR RUN:

The Bradenton Police Department is sponsoring the FIRST EVER Jet Ski Radar Run on Palma Sola Bay!!! It will be held from Noon till 1pm on the North West cove of the Palma Sola Rec area. Please visit the SEADOOFORUM TENT on site to register. Additionally the Bradenton PD will be onsite to aid in logistics for Parking and traffic and the Officers have graciously offered to donate either all or a portion of their Event Duty Pay towards the HEROES OF THE ST. PETE POLICE!!!

A website with DONATION box & Pre-Registration for Events is in production currently and will be available shortly.

Yep, tons of boat ramps near by. If you look at the second map, the closest one is highlighted in blue. It's about 100 yards from the Meet and Greet site! Tons of beaching area or you can anchor just off the beach as well.
 
Sure wish I could make it! I would love to be their... Got to keep the US Mail going! You Guy's and Girls have a great time.

I know what you mean. I lived there in the 80's, working at Tampa Ship. But, I did attend the "ride in" year before last. I would be there this year but that is my anniversary. I don't mind missing my anniversary to come down for the ride, but don't think my wife would take to kindly to it.

Yeah, it was a long haul, but def worth it. We had a blast and I rode the new RXP. Man, that thing was aweful wicked...... man, fast isn't the word.

Six hours, 8 hours, 10 hours.... if you have the ability to take a long weekend off, the ride down there and the fun your going to have, is more than well worth the trip. This years ride in looks to be the biggest, most organized event to date. I believe this is the 3rd or 4th annual ride in event.....

So, load up the ski, (I got a uhaul for mine, don't trust those tiny bearings in my trailer axles) and head to Florida. I promise, you won't have a dull moment!!!!:thumbsup:
 
Quick update...

While the Raffle says 50/50 cash, it is now being changed to prize based. Currently we have a few T-shirts, Hydro-Turf, and a few other prizes.

Also, we have an addition to sponsor list. Kingsland Auto & Marine of Sarasota, FL is donating a $50 gift certificate towards labor as a prize.

You can purchase your tickets at the Registration booth when you arrive at the event.
 
O.K... Its like 12:50 in the morning over there and no posts!!!! Or, maybe there is another thread I can find for an update. I sure wish I could have been there. Man, this one sounded like the one to be at!!! I'd have loved to put my GTX on the radar gun. But, anniversary day went well too. We got a new 42" flat screen t.v. ... Wifey wasn't too happy when she found out I could hook up the computer to it and read the forum.........ROFL!
 
My Sea Lion is too fast for Radar !! LOL ITS STEALTHY TOO!!! I was very happy to donate to the very worthy charity. Great turn-out.
 
BIG THANK YOU to everyone for showing up. This was a great time with a nice turn out. There will be pictures showing up soon, but I think most people are recovering from a long day in the sun!

The poker run was a nice success. The Bradenton PD used their boat to escort everyone to the 5 stops (lights flashing and all!) around Bradenton's Inter-Coastal Waterway.

We had to cancel the radar run (Bradenton PD's radar didn't work on Fiberglass), but we'll correct that for next year!

Action Kawasaki, Yahama & SeaDoo & Brad brought out the new 2011 SeaDoo GTI & 210 Wake for people to demo. They also brought a standup crew to do some stunting.

There was plenty of BBQ, and the smell of it smoking was nearly irresistible. After a long day on the water, most started packing up around 4 for the long trips home. Thanks again to all who attended.

Special thanks to Brad & John and Action for coming out. Thank you to Joe (custompartsguy) & Kingsland Auto & Marine Service for bringing out Underground's Show Car which provided the audio entertainment for the event. Thanks to OWR, Hooligans, and Tampa Bay Jet clubs for showing up and participating. Thanks to the Bradenton PD for their service and boat at the event. And of course thanks to Kevin of Jetski Junkies who played a huge part in organizing the event.

This year's Meet & Greet was amazing and by far the best. We'll be building on it for next year to bring even more to the table!
 
joe I can speak for all of the hooligans when I say we had a great time and we are looking forward to doing it again next year. i also wanna say thanks to brad and Action Kawasaki Yamaha Seadoo.
