Normal Boat Bumpers

Hello:
Just wondering why there are several youtube videos about making pool noodle bumpers (protection from docks) ?
I bought my seadoos last year and haven't even put them in the water yet, but am wondering if regular boat bumpers will work ?

If you have a boat, pool noodles will not survive and compress too much. On a ski they might be ok.

A couple seadoos. I just bought the boat ones thinking they would be easier.

IMO, boat fenders are too big to be carried on a ski. I mean, they may fit in your storage compartment, but there won't be much room for anything else.

I have the SeaDoo OEM fenders, but have used Hull Hugr's in the past.
