Riding my 94 Explorer (657) yesterday and I ran into a problem that has started last weekend but now is worse. I cannot operate at low speed it stalls out and wont restart (it cranks) unless i use the choke and play with it to keep her running, when I get up on plane she operates fine, running full throttle or half (no stuttering) I know they need to be pulled & rebuilt. (the carbs) Any one know of a quick fix or is that a pipe dream?!!

Since this is a 2-stroke... and the oil is transported into the engine via the fuel.... it VERY bad to continue to run that engine with a fuel problem.

So... do a proper carb rebuild now... or do an engine rebuild later. Not trying to be harsh... it's the truth.

YUP, like the TV commercial of a car repair center. "Pay me now for oil change & filter or pay me later for new engine"
