no fire first push

2000gtx rfi when you push the starter botton the first time the motor will not start. push stater botton again fires right up. I have checked and there is no fire to the plugs the first time the start botton is pushed . when you push it again it does have fire to plugs. could this be in the mpem

Probably an MPEM issue.

Do this... hook a volt meter to the battery. At rest, make sure it has 12 to 12.6v. Then, while cranking... make sure it's staying above 11v.

I'm not sure what the bottom voltage threshold for the RFI is... but I know on a Polaris, it will crank just fine with 10.5v (with a load) but the ignition won't fire.
