Display!
I haven't looked into the digital display systems yet, but I will soon.
I do have a some insight of the LCD. If your display is LCD (liquid crystal display) then from what you've described, the display panel is out.
There are two types of display's in todays world, the LED (light emitting diode) and the LCD. The liquid crystal display is sensitive because it's display is formed by molecules that are aligned by an electric field, using the positive and negative polarties.
Without getting into a lot of the science, when parts of the display molecules lose the abilty to become porlarized, then parts of the screen, numbers, etc... become unreadable. Now that it's blank, it has completely stopped working. You'll need to replace it. Normally, these panels are designed to be un-plugged and removed.
Like I said, with a kid on my lap, I don't have the time at the moment to do any research on your specific, but I hope this info gives you a little insight. It shouldn't do anything but keep you from knowing the fuel level, etc.....the ski's brain, MPEM, will do the rest for you.
O.K....I just looked up a replacement part........are you sitting down. $442.00.......wow, that's a bundle. I'm going to look at your trouble shooting page.
