Recently my digital display has malfunctioned, on my 2000 GTX Mil. Edition. At first it displayed broken numbers and only some of the fuel gauge. I am still getting the normal two beeps when starting the ski and the ski is running fine. Recently I have plugged the lanyard in and now the digital display doesn't work at all. Could this possibly be a fuse problem? I located the fuse box which has six separate fuses. If it is a fuse problem, which fuse is it?

Display!

I haven't looked into the digital display systems yet, but I will soon.
I do have a some insight of the LCD. If your display is LCD (liquid crystal display) then from what you've described, the display panel is out.
There are two types of display's in todays world, the LED (light emitting diode) and the LCD. The liquid crystal display is sensitive because it's display is formed by molecules that are aligned by an electric field, using the positive and negative polarties.
Without getting into a lot of the science, when parts of the display molecules lose the abilty to become porlarized, then parts of the screen, numbers, etc... become unreadable. Now that it's blank, it has completely stopped working. You'll need to replace it. Normally, these panels are designed to be un-plugged and removed.
Like I said, with a kid on my lap, I don't have the time at the moment to do any research on your specific, but I hope this info gives you a little insight. It shouldn't do anything but keep you from knowing the fuel level, etc.....the ski's brain, MPEM, will do the rest for you.

O.K....I just looked up a replacement part........are you sitting down. $442.00.......wow, that's a bundle. I'm going to look at your trouble shooting page.

Wow

I kind of thought that the screen may be bad, but I was hoping that was not the case. Any idea what a used part would be, my ultimate goal is to try and sell it. Everything else on the ski runs great. But that screen also displays my hours......!!!

Wire diagram for GTX, Mill. Edition

Where would I go to find a wiring diagram for my 2000 GTX, Mill. Edition ski?

Hours?

Your hours, even now that the screen is blank, are still being recorded in your MPEM.......it's the engine's brain and time keeper.
You can search on ebay for the part or go to our advertiser section and solicit someone there that may have one for sale........

Although technology is great, it's also expensive..........BTW, I did a google search real quick for the LED. I found a lot of useful information about the workings of the LED you may find interesting......

You can go to seadoo.com and see an exploded view of your LCD there. Follow their links for parts.
