No beeps

Installed brand new battery fully charged connected lanyard got no beeps after hitting start button approximately 10 times I get a chirp than one beep then back to nothing anyone have any idea what this could be

1. are you using the right key?
2. Dess post or key is bad or dirty and not making good connections.
3, MPEM is not reading correctly.

Any other work done since you last rode it?

No work done since last ride, I have 2 96 XP 787 and the keys are programmed to work on either ski so I doubt it being the key I get same results with either key highly doubt both keys being bad when they were both bad at the end of last season charging new battery now to put in other ski interested to see if other ski has same problem

For some reason it's not registering the key.

I'm having the same issue on a 98 gti and even bought a new aftermarket mpem and no change. From what I was told the AM mpem's will work with any key.

For my 1996 720 boat, the procedure to check if the beeper is working is to remove the coolant sensor wire and ground it, it is supposed to beep.

edit: nevermind thought you didn't even get a beep

The post was the problem for me. I never would've dreamed that was the issue.
