5 amp fuse blows after i replace it i am using a dead battery and hooking to a batery charger, is there any other fuses, 2002 model, 3 seat, 85 horse i belive gti

Never use a battery charger or a running tractor/car to overcome a weak battery, when you press the start button you burn up the electronic control box - this is why there are stickers everywhere to warn you. Depending on your model you can find them about 5-600bux used and there is a repair company that fixes some - custom repair something is the name.

he'll fix it....or find any 720 mpem, it'll work. Might need to add plugs to your gauges though, since i believe, in those years, they went to a "plug in" harness type, mpem, verses a grey box with wires/harnessess protruding from it.

where i get lost is it ran for about five minutes after i jumped it of with the jumper box, went dead tryed again and nothing, does that change the diagnosis

It changes when you get it running again, but if you have no spark that is unlikely, unfortunately inexperienced mechanics burn these out often on the great lakes where I live and ride - it keeps the repair shop busy.

If yer handy soldering and dental picking and dremeling, you could put a new diode
in yourself for about $20 bucs. Lots of posts on that. Bills86e

locate the rectifier, disconnect the red and yellow wires, then with power hooked to battery, install a new fuse. If it pops immediatly, then your mpem is toast, which Allthingscustom, from this site, can fix it. If it doesnt pop, then hook-up red wire, if it pops, then replace rectifier, if it pops when yellows are hooked together, then the problem is in the stator assy.
