I recently bought a new windshield for my 98 Sportster 1800. What showed up was a part substitution, because I guess they don't have windshields for this boat anymore. I recieved a 204 620 217, which I believe is the windshield for the challenger. The hinges aligned and it's the same shape, so I'm keeping it, but because of the profile, the lock now sits higher than it did in the old windshield and it won't latch.
I don't know if I now need a new hook with longer legs or a new lock assembly.
One of these parts is different between the Challenger and the Sportster 1800. Either the hook part is longer or the lock mechanism is longer. Anyone have any idea which one it is?
