I got a boat with a broken Rave valve- original owner so I know the history on it.
Can I do a compression test with Rave valve out?
I will prob. pull and do top end, and rave assemblies, but think I should know compression before I start.
Any other advice-

Thanks

That's a good question but it could lower the number. I would put the cover back on and compression on a 787 is 150 pis = perfect, 120psi= time for rebuild and anything under 120 psi it probably will not start in the water. If there is more that about 5 psi difference between the cylinders you have a mechanical failure of some kind.
