Hi guys, I just got a 2003 GTI with the 718 motor that is having some issues. Once in a while it is dieing out like there is lack of spark or not regular spark. It was never flooded out or anything is it possible that something is wet? any one have this issue?
Is it dieing out at idle speed or when running at cruising speed or higher? If at idle you might just need to set the idle higher, should be about 3000rpm on the trailer or about 1500rpm in the water.
Its at speed like it is losing spark, this only happens once in a while.
I went and cleaned all the connections and applied some electric grease to keep all contacts water free.
Still looking for the issue.
