We sucked up a ski rope today. We couldn't get it out, so we were towed in. Not very far, but I didn't have a clamp for the line. I ended up pinching it with pliers for the 1/4 mile pull. The guy went slow, but I was worried some water could have sucked in. While I went to get the boat trailer, the guys I was with got the rope out. (It did tear up the plastic piece, but that doesn't worry me.) I'm concerned because they tried to crank it. Now it won't start. I was going to pull the plugs and see if anything was in there, before I tried to crank it.
Does anyone think this could be serious? Can it sit overnight? This is in salt water, and it's been like this for four hours.
