Motor replacement

Hey,

Have a Utopia 205 with a sport jet M2 240 that i have to replace. I have found a few sources for engine exchange. As i understand it i have to pull the fuel and ignition off the existing engine and move to new engine. Wanted to know if there any details about the specifics of what is entailed on this forum. Think it is something within my capabilities, but would feel much better if some details about this were available.

Most important--
for some strange reason, Merc decided that the spline inside the bottom of the crank is different between SportJet and outboard. Make sure you get the right one.

Guessing i am too late. Would still be interested. I just put it aside for awhile and am now back on it.
