I have a 93 sea doo with a 587 motor, I believe. I have rebuilt the carb, adn it cranks up fine when its cold. After it warms up and I cut it off, it's very hard to start. Like it's flooded. It runs great when I get it going. CAn the oil injection pump have anything to do with my hard to start problem? Thank you.

possibly if its putting too much oil into the gas but most likely another issue altogether, what is compression on engine

When you rebuilt the carb... did you use an actual Mikuni kit, or was it an aftermarket kit? (like windrosa)

The problem is... that it is flooding. The needle and seat are hanging open, and we need to know how.

If you used a real Mikuni kit (with a red nipple on the diaphragm) then the pivot arm may be too high.

If you used an aftermarket kit... the diaphragm is the problem. The aftermarket kits are known to have issues. The extra fold in the diaphragm pushes on the pivot arm just enough to let the needle to leak after you shut it off.

Ye sI used a mikuni kit. The problem was that the high speed jet adjustment on the 587 is suppose to be 0, no adjustment. Thank you fo rthe reply.
