Your Rotax motor uses two gravity fed oil systems to lubricate the engine during it operation, from an elevated oil tank.

1. The oil pump pressurizes the oil into the gas/air mixture in an amount depending on rpm to the RV cover spigots, that oils the crank bearings, wrist pins and the cylinder walls. These two oil lines have check valves in the line connector at oil pump. The oil pump has an air bubble vent screw for inital connecting-priming the feed oil line
2. The Rotary Valve gear in the center of the crank has oil seals on each side of the center gear, and the helical action of this gear
flows the oil thru this gear cavity with enough circulation to return oil to the oil tank top entry. When the engine gets stored, these seals
under gravity pressure can push past the seals and get into the lower cases and will only get out thru the ports to the piston tops. BRP
oils were formulated to address this phenom of warping the oil seals. Usually the seals reform, but when get excessivly worn they
leak, and the engine billows the white smoke continually, then the engine will need a new crank to fix it. If shes smokin after five minutes
on the waterway is a sign it needs rebuilt. All Seadoo's will leak at the seals if stored. Putting an oil shut-off valve in the big RV oil cavity line helps when storing, but you have to remember to open it at season's start. If your motor quits smokin after a few minutes, its normal.

Always turn your water spigot ON, after your engine is started, as the action of the exhaust directs water out the exhaust. Other wise it
will enter the lower cases and hydrolock the engine-rust the crank jounals. Turn water spigot OFF, then shut down your motor, and
ALWAYS spray storage lub oil down the carbs to extra lub the top end, cylinders walls, and crankshaft journal bearings ect, before the engine goes into any storage. This is normally done during FLUSHING at days end maintenance of your ski.

I recommend BRP oil in your Seadoo, ONLY! (made by Castrol) Years were spent formulating BRP Rotax engine oil and the Rotax oil rubber seals, and Rotax RAVE valves.
1. Non-rave valve motors = BRP Mineral oil
2. Rave motors = BRP Synthetic
