Well i just bought my first PWC 1 month ago. My warning low voltage warning light came on at 55mph yesterday so charged battery overnight. The battery did not seem undercharged. Was and still is running fine. Today came on after 5 minutes high speed and did not go off until very low speeds.

Talked to previous owner. Battery is 1 month old. Rectifier replaced 2 years ago. He saw this light alot and he ignored it. His batteries all lasted 1-2 years.

I have no testing and wouldn't know enough to test various parts.

Does anyone think I can ignore this light for now until starting/running problems arise?

Thanks

Maybe not sure. Do you have a multimeter/voltmeter? I'd at least check to make sure the charging system is charging the battery at least.

Take your voltmeter and check across the battery at a high idle, 3500 to 4000 rpm, you should be reading a little over 14 volts.

Also load test your battery, measure across your battery when starting your ski, if it drops below 11 volts, you need a new battery.

OK great ...thanks from a newbie...I will getter a voltmeter and check these basics. I am adding my last question on idle sounds and spark plug location in a new thread if anyone can help too. Thanks
