Looking for help with Jet Pump reinstallation

Hi all, going to tackle installing the new carbon rings this weekend and I think I understand the procedure, just wanted to ask for clarification on one thing. I am sorry, I could not figure out how to post the picture from the PDF file. In the shop manual for my 1996 Speedster, on page 9-01-23 in the top right hand corner there is a diagram that shows where to apply the Loctite 598 when reinstalling the jet pump. I am not understanding the description of where to apply it. It says to apply it where indicated by the dark area but it is not making sense to me. Do they mean around in a circle in these 3 spots?

Yes, around the 3 thru hull fittings. If you look at the next diagram showing the neoprene seal installation, you will see the 3 holes in the hull above the pump opening.

Thanks for replying jts32. In removing everything I realized I don't have bailers, just the water-coolant inlet on mine.
