Hey everyone,

My neighbour has a 96 Seadoo GTI that his landlord has been keeping in his backyard and wants to get rid of. The thing is that it hasn't ran in over 4 years, what would it take to get it running? The engine bay looks like it's in good shape and the tubes and wires look like they're in good condition.. I know it has a Rotax 717 in it.

Should I just try and crank it or are there a few things I should do to it first so that I don't seize it? Any advice welcome. Thanks!

Pull the plugs and make sure it spins by hand. Then you should perform a compression test and if it passes that throw some premix down the spark plug holes and see if it will at least fire

I'll give that a try tomorrow, thanks!
