When you buy bearings/seals to rebuild your pumps do you get them from the dealer or do you buy a kit from like sbc? I guess does oem vs aftermarket make a big difference in performance/lifetime?

you need to be careful getting them started so they go in straight, after that the important part is that they are set to the correct depth to ensure proper lubrication.

as for the kits, most of the various sites sell "rebuild kits" that will come with the two bearings, thrust bearing and washer, and a new seal. i have had good luck with osd parts . com as they use oem quality or better bearings, and better quality seals that won't cut a groove in the impeller shaft. i replaced everything but the pump housing on mine with parts from them.
