I have A 1990 sea-doo bombardier and don't start I get spark the flyweel starts to spin then slows down and wont turn until I push the button again is it my starter? I hooked up the positive from the relay going to the starter and it dose the same thing. If I pull the plugs the motor spins fine

It could be the starter but I would check the battery first. First check the voltage across the battery not under a load, it should be at least 12.5v. Then check with a load, when trying to start the ski, if it's less than 11v you need a new battery.

question - did you hook the new battery to your car to test start it OR did you jump the car battery to the ski and try to start it, if this is the case did you have the car running when trying to start the ski. If so that's a big NO,NO

yea i disconected the battery and hooked up my car battery with it running but it did the same thing

its not to bad...the top one is easy but the bottom one requires a long extension and lots of patience...good luck

Jumping the ski with a running car battery is a big mistake...you can add extra voltage to the ski's MPEM and MAYBE burn it.
Hopefully you are lucky and didn't do any damage.

so I pulled the starter and the brushing looked worn I placed some foil behind them and no it turns with the plugs in but wont turn over all the way? my exhaust is off and the fly wheel housing cover do you think I should put it all back together now and try it PS the gas lines and carb are still hooked up could it be I'm not getting suction to pull gas in or do you think the starter is still week? I tried priming it as well could it be I flooded it?
