Jet pump rebuild

02 rx, Bearings are bad in the jet pump, Impeller is nicked like heck, the impeller is eating up both sides of the plastic before and after the wear ring. wear ring is fine though. So I have the assembly removed, how do i Remove the impeller?

Remove the cone, put that end in a big ass vice, get your impeller removal tool, put a big ass breaker bar and possibly a pipe extension, turn counter clockwise and remove the impeller.

You didn't ask but FYI, SBT has an exchange program for stock impellers for $65.00 they will send you a rebuilt impeller, you will need to send them your old one. Of course this would be the perfect time to upgrade your impeller.

Yeah, I saw that on their web site. Do you think an aftermarket one would be better though? Never messed with the impellers on these. Thats why i haven't ordered one yet. lol

Usually, but cost a lot more.
The core replacement deal was even before a few years back $25 bucks.
Its a good alternative to replace damaged ones and not spends 100's on new ones.
