Coastiejoe Moderator Moderator Sep 28, 2016 #2 Jump the solenoid. If it still just ticks, then you have a bad battery, cable, cable connection, or starter. If it cranks fast as it should, then test for 12 volt at the trigger wire of the solenoid when pressing the START button.
