Just took the jet ski out after replacing the old fuel lines. I avoided rebuilding the carbs because the previous owner had not run it in a few years and I was hoping the gunk in the old fuel lines hadn't disrupted the fuel filters in the carbs. So, when I brought up to full throttle it went flat out. It was amazing, yet after about 20 minutes I noticed that the speedometer had stopped working and i wasn't getting to the higher speeds that i had earlier. The problem seemed to get worse as it would go full speed and then slow down at full throttle and repeated that rhythm. By the time i got it back to my dock it would not even get to full throttle. So, I'm guessing I need a carb rebuild kit, but I was wondering if the speedometer not working was related somehow. Thanks for the help
