How to remove gauge wires from hood

On 1996 gsx to get the wire out of the hood . The hood does not seperate but to get the gauge wires out of hood you can turn it upside down and drill a 21/2 inch hole in the bottom right corner inside of gasket and you can get in there to fish the wires out

I will definitely chime in when somebody replies with an answer. I have an 1995 GTX and 1997 GTX I’m wanting to replace the gauges on both and I have the same dilemma time to YouTube it I guess. my wires are very similar to your picture there when you flip up the front storage compartment hood, you can see them at the top where the gauges are and then a I guess the connection point runs down to the end of the storage compartment, hood, and where they both meet when hood it’s up you can see the wiring harness connection going into the bottom part of the hull

you should NOT HAVE TO DRILL anything to remove gauges from any seadoo.
