Hello all,

I have a 1996 GTX. It has moisture damage inside ignition housing and i am replacing just about all contained parts.

My question: Is it possible/very difficult to remove old and install new oil seal in the magneto housing without the pusher and handle specified in the shop manual? The 2 tools will be over $150 so i would like to avoid buying them. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I use a hammer and sockets all the time.

Pull the cover, install a new seal, new gasket with a little 1211 and reassemble.

Make sure you put grease on the rubber lip of the seal so it doesn't burn up on dry start and follow the torque and thread lock specs in the seadoo manual.
