I was working in the engine compartment and leaned up against something and heard a pop. Much to my dismay I broke off a fuel barb fitting. How bad it this going to be? Do I have to replace the whole fuel pump or anyone know how to repair this. I think it's a fuel vent line but not certain.

In the picture the connecting hose that connects both of the fittings is removed.

So I did figure something out.

I got a piece of 1/8" brass tubing and cut it so it was 1/4" out the top of the broken barb fitting and about 3/4" below. Used some gel super glue to hold the tube in place on the broken barb fitting. Next day I used Marine Tex and gooped up the bottom of the broken piece around the bottom, stuck it in the hole in the pump and added some more Marine Tex to build it up.

I sure hope it holds up to bouncing around in the water.
