help!! seat on 93 spx broken latch and cant get it off the ski!!

93 spx was runnin great but he engine compartment when i went to check the engine compartment i found the latch had gotten broken prior to me installing the it back on the night before. i cannot get the seat off for the life of me. is there a trick????????

Honestly I've never had this happen, but maybe you can go through the front hatch and get a socket on the front U bolt (part no. 23) that the seat attaches to. If you can get the bolts off you should be able to swing the seat around to get to the latch at the rear of the seat.

I had the the same problem. On the back of the seat were the latch is there is 2 bolts, just take those out and the seat will come off. A ratchet wrench works great or you will have a ton of quarter turns. I had to adjust the post on the hull where the latch attaches to avoid this problem. Good luck
