So..I completely rebuilt my 97 Seadoo Speedster. Was 100% done with it. And the last time I took it out on the water. Somehow the bolts that hold the exhaust on worked loose. I couldn't find any stainless replacement ones. So when I put new ones in I used HD zinc ones with never cease on them..so they will come out if need be. So... blue loctite next time and I ordered stainless ones. But when I looked I noticed somehow the stud in the back that a nut tightens to a stud on the manifold snapped off!

Wtf am I to do? Is there any way to back the threaded rod out and replace it? Or do I have to pull the dam engine again and replace the exhaust manifold?

UPDATE: So when looking I can buy the replacement threaded bolt, screenshot attached. The current one, if original installed by Seadoo was installed with Loctite 648. Per their website it can be removed with heat, screenshot attached.

Any thoughts?

It’s a stud not a bolt.

You can get it out but you need to pull the pipe.

The reason your loosing bolts is because the rubber bushings on the pipe mounts are worn and allowing too much vibration and movement. Replace the bushings with new ones when you have the pipe off.

This model/version doesn't have rubber bushings. The red circles are the bolts that vibrated loose. And the blue circle is the stud that snapped off.
