Help...Failed at Temp Sensor removal - Optimax 250

Could use some help and suggestions on changing out the Port side temp sensor on the Optimax 250 in my ‘04 Utopia 205.

I failed this afternoon (at the cottage) in being able to get a wrench seated on it we’ll enough to break it loose.

Any tips or suggestions?

I pulled plug #2 and removed the fuel injector connector to get some more room but still no luck.

Anything else I could/should try?

Gonna try taking a 13mm deep socket and cutting it down the side with a cutting wheel to make a customer ‘sensor’ socket and see if I can get that on next weekend.

I hear these units are very fragile. I'm staring at mine on my desk now in the package. Need to put it in this weekend. I didn't know access was restricted that bad. You tried an open end wrench? Or are you trying to get it with a crescent wrench?
