New to this forum, but not new to SeaDoo Sport Boats. I own (and love) a 2000 Speedster with the 240/M2. I've had it about 5 years, and so far it has been a GREAT boat with few problems. BUT, it is getting older and requires more TLC than a newer one.

What's wrong with it?

Speedo Doesn't work, but GPS takes care of that, not too worried about that.

Fuel Guage doesn't work, but the low fuel alarm goes off at about 1/3 tank, and I can easily see the tank for a visual. Not too worried about that. I would LIKE it to work, but it hasn't gotten high enough on the priority list yet.

Recently repaired the "Low Speed Steering Assist" cable

What's right with it?

I do all of the regular maintenance myself, so I know what/when/how it has been done.
The Engine runs good and strong
Fast planing yanks a water-sporter out of the hole in a jiffy
The hull gets at least 2 coats of wax every year
Practically no UV damage on the boat
It's great for running the rivers of VA where the prop boats won't go

What would I rather have?
I LOVE the newer Speedster 200s with the twin 4-stroke 215s. I would like to be able to carry a couple of more bodies, and go into some bigger water without getting beat to death all day. BUT, I have the title for mine and I am not ready to spend the $$ yet to upgrade ;)
