Has anyone added a swim platform to their boat

swim platform

I would like to add a swim platform like ski boats have. Has anyone done this before

What kind of boat do you have? I like the swim platform that came on my Challenger. I just wish the ladder had more than one step and something to hold on to when I climb up.

I have a 2012 210 SP. It has a swim platform, but i'm looking for one that is water level like you find on tow boats.

I thought about doing the same thing, I'd like something that's closer to water level for skiers and swimming.

Hey, I have the same boat, I do like the swim platform it comes with, but I hear what you're saying, it would be nice to have an extension. It would possibly cut down on the spray and perhaps even help shape the wake. But as far as doing this goes, I know as little as you.

hey guys, just saw this post and was wondering if anyone has found a platform that fits? i have a 210 s and am setting it up for wakebording this winter and wanted to add a platform..

I found one company that will make a custom one, the only problem is that they want $1300 to do it.

Not to highjack the thread, but a few of us did the 2-step ladder upgrade this spring on our Challengers. What an amazing difference for everyone.

I've never been in a longer jet boat. Can you whip them around like the shorter one's? ie. will they spin out? Just thinking out loud here, but if the bigger boats get tossed round aggressively, wouldn't a water-level swim platform have a risk of digging into the water and either break something (platform, mounts, transom) or cause the back to "catch" and possibly hurt someone?

Well i messed around with it pretty good last year but i didn't have the balls to spin it out.. you probably could but i have my 2 year old son with me all the time. i'm setting it up for wakeboarding so i don't really plan on doing the normal jet boat play. my friends mastercraft and supra boats have there platforms water level and drag most the time and no issues so far. in a few months when weather breaks i'm taking the shrink rap off and creating a template and having a custom platform made.

this will not work, you will damage your boat, your plattform will be gone and you might hurt someone.

Care to give an explanation? With the right bracing and possibly a little reinforcing of the hull I dont see why it wouldn't be possible.

i am not close to be a expert but i have a 230 challenger for fun and mastercraft for the real game, if you compare the boats side by side you will see why the MC costs 3 times the doo.

Then i see a problem with the higher speed the doo can handle, also when you " hard brake" there is a massiv wave hitting the rear of the doo, no idey why but this dosent happen on the MC. ok, its obvious. You cant brake with a gearbox if you know how to drive a give it a 2sec pause from neutral to reverse.

It very slow speeds, like for wakesurfing, the MC still has water unter the platform, the doo, if there would be a plattform there, would not have any water unter it. The boats are just so different.

As i said, i am no expert.

Also, if you do the job, i hope you can acces the inside of the doos plattform, i the 230 challenger this is close to impossable. I know the 210 has the ski locker but i dont know if that helps.
