Other than than impeller tool, DrHonda's pump bearing tool, neoprene seal for pump and pump gear oil nothing much.

Would you change the bearings and carbon seal even if there are no issues? I am thinking I should just for preventative maintainance and due the age.

Another question: Do I need to pull the ride shoe just to allign the pump?

Hey,

If you said pump has never been serviced what's 50 bucks more to for peace of mind to replace pump bearing.
If carbon seal and ss collar are good you can reuse it.

No the ride shoe stays on.

pull it apart and see what the impeller shaft looks like. if there is water instead of oil in the pump, you need a rebuild. if there are scoring marks on the impeller shaft where the bearings ride it needs a rebuild and a new impeller shaft. if its never even had the oil changed, its probably going to need some parts replaced, at the very least a new shaft seal.

Thanks OCOD. Sounds like I got a cost of $150 for the allignment tool, $60 for bearing tools, $50 for bearings and $20 for pump seal orings and misc. That's $280 total assuming the seal and wear ring are still good. I'm I missing anything?
