I purchased a 1998 speedster with the twin 2 stroke 110hp.
The exhaust boots leading out of the hull are cracked and leaking ,but upon inspection found that the plastic tuned exhaust <- that's what I was told it was called, the inlet and outlet have melted.I was just going to replace the part ,very straight forward ,but is there some kind of modification I could do ,or aftermarket piece I can try to bypass this ugly piece of plastic?
I'll make another thread about my starter.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers.

have same [problem, but fixed it with silicone.

Thought same thing, some type of mod, and think'n of making it w/ aluminum..?

really melted ;)

The inlet is quite damaged, thought I'd try a "Tim the toolman Taylor" on it.
First I'm going to make sure I have water flow and go from there.
And ya, a nice bent 3" pipe would be IDEAL.Probably sound nice too...Ah toys :ack:

plug the hole and run a straight pipe out above the water line for the ultimate tim the tool man effect ! wild life officers will love you ! :hurray: i have done this to a old junker xp and its so loud its funny .
