Seadoo GSX engine stuttering - holding back

Gents,

I have a problem with my Seadoo since a few weeks. After a storage period of 4 months it's not running smoothly.
The engine is running but stuttering - holding back, so max speed is 30mph.

I made a video so you can see how it's running;
http://youtu.be/2_2TCzRopjE

Changed out both spark plugs, but problem remains. Should it be a carb problem or something already in the fuel supply?

Many thanks for your help!!

Cheers,
Erik

What does it do when you put it in the water ??? You cant just dead rev it like that with no load on the pump . Take a video on the the boat ramp under load on the trailer and repost

Hi CroFoot,
I did that already for about half an hour, in the water, but it seems that the temperature of the engine doesn't influence the performance.

either you have bad gas in the tank from sitting, or a fuel issue, or a bad rectifier. do the revs stutter and jump around like its hitting a rev limiter, or something else? we'll need more description of the symptoms to help you.
