electrical box

im having trouble with my 1992 xp running good and than just stops i know it is electrical problume does any one know if the elictrical box from an 1992 sp same motor run in my 1992 xp.i believe the mpem is a diffrent model thats why i wander if i can change entire control box.thanks

sp and xp both have 587 motor so electronics should be similar. xp box should swap to sp but not the other way since XP is higher model and has more options/featues
