Dropped top of jet ski into bay while changing oil on floating dock.

So I am changing my oil and I had the top of the jet ski on the dock while I am standing below on a floating dock and I knocked into it and it fell into the bay. I took it out, let it dry for about 6 hours then plugging in the 2 sets of wires and tried to start and nothing happened, any ideas would be appreciated, did I ruin the electronics?
