Hey all I was able to pull my 1997 787 bottem end apart to inspect. Found some crud etc but otherwise all bearings seem to be good.

What do you all feel is the best way to get this sucker prepped for reinstallation. What gasket kit will I need to put the bottem back together?

Thanks

If the bottom end is apart and the crank is out you will need the front and rear crank seals and some ThreeBond 1211 to seal the cases.

Well if there is interest... maybe I can make this an entire documentary... rookie tears down and rebuilds a 787 lol

I'd be interested in that to be honest. I have a 1997 challenger 1800 with twin 787'2 and wil likely be doing it at some point so if you're serious, go for it. I'd definitely be interested in seeing how things went for you with pictures to go along with it.

I purchased from Bay area power sports. I found them on ebay and called. I actually called a few people and he was the only one who answered the phone.

I cant say what the quality will be like but so far custy service was good as he took time to answer questions.

Time will tell I guess
