Hi all,
I am working on a 96 SPI that I just got and forgot to mark the spark plug wires before I took them off and I can't find anywhere how to tell which is which. I have the shop manual but it doesn't tell me what I need to know. Can somone help me to identify which wire goes to which spark plug?
much appreciated

Hi, and welcome to the Seadoo forum.

Both plugs fire at the same time so it doesn't make any difference.

That's interesting since I can see into the exhaust manifold in the rear cyclinder but not the front which tells me the pistons are not at the same point in their cycles. I guess I just don't understand how they could both fire at the same time if this is the case.

The plugs fire simultaneously, not the stroke of the pistons are equal. That is impossible in a 2 stroke engine

The system uses a wasted spark system, firing both plugs twice per revolution. It doesn't matter which wire goes on which plug.
