I see a lot of posts on testing the engines compression. What type of tool is necessary to do this on a 4tec?
Links would be appreciated & if anyone has the ability to explain simply what the test tells a guy as a result that would be great. I’m good at following directions but don’t know much about how engines work besides the ultra basics.

Thanks GB, do you know what size the fitting needs to be for the 4tecs so i can make sure the kit i get has that in it?

Kit has all the fittings you'll need. You just need to match the spark plug thread. You also need to keep the throttle wide open when cranking (preferably on a warmed up motor). Crank motor until needle on gauge stops moving and record the reading. Difference between highest and lowest cylinder should be no greater than 10%.
