I have just rebuilt one of the engines on my boat (top end). I have cleaned the carbs inside and out. Once i give it gas it dies. it idles like a champ. the only way that i can get to motor running is to move the throtle up and down to build the RPM up to about 3000 and it runs fine. I have also replaced all the parts on the rave valve. i was having the same problem with this motor before i rebuilt it. ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Your carbs should have an accelerator pump. Sounds like it's not pumping. The diaphragm could be bad, or the lines could be plugged.
